I’ve been waiting my whole life to do this. On my list of all lists, “Things to complete in my life,” it is right there, settled between getting my palms read and knowing someone who celebrates Kwanza, it sits quietly there, eagerly waiting to be checked off.
7. Live in a different country.
Well, then here is my chance of a lifetime. For the next three months, I will be living across the pond, in the diverse city of London, England. Almost 5500 miles away from every friend, each family member, and without the people who know me best. That is why I created this; I want to bring you with me. I want you to adventure down every cobblestone alley, join me as I hop from each adorable café to the next, to capture every beautiful boy, experience the breath-taking city skyline in any country, share each moment in this pursuit of happiness, and witness my dreams come true. Ever since that ball dropped to the year 2010, I knew that this was it, my year. I could feel the anticipation, my body’s desire for a journey; a journey of growth. As I travel to England, I hope I can encompass that spirit of adventure, living each moment to its fullest, with the people I love by my side the entire way.
This is the beginning of it all.
